CalorieAITerms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and CalorieAI ("CalorieAI", "we", "us") for your use of the CalorieAI app. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use CalorieAI. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the app with the permission of a parent or guardian.
2. Not medical advice
CalorieAI is a general wellness tool for tracking food, water and weight. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional or dietary advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Calorie targets, nutrition values, AI estimates and insights are approximate and for information only. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before starting a diet or weight-loss programme, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or have a history of disordered eating. Never ignore professional advice because of something in the app.
3. Your account
You can use the app with a guest account. Guest data is tied to the app on your device; if you sign out or remove the app without saving your account, it cannot be recovered.
If you save your account with an email and password, keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. AI features
Meal scanning and insights are generated by an AI service (Google Gemini). Results may be inaccurate or incomplete — for example, portion sizes, hidden ingredients or cooking oil may be misjudged. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them.
Only submit photos and descriptions of meals. Do not submit images of people or anything you do not have the right to share.
5. Premium subscriptions
CalorieAI Premium is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) bought through your Apple ID. The price is shown before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. The free plan includes a limited number of AI logs per day; Premium removes those limits.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including by:
- trying to access other users' data or our systems without permission;
- interfering with or overloading the service, or automating requests to it;
- uploading unlawful, harmful or offensive content;
- reverse-engineering the app except where the law allows it.
7. Your content
You own the data you log and the photos you submit. You give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to run the app for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Our app
The app, its design, food database and software belong to CalorieAI and its licensors. Some food photos are used under open licences; see Settings → Photo credits. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep CalorieAI running, but the app is provided "as is" and "as available". Features may change, and the service may be interrupted, for example for maintenance or when you are offline.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CalorieAI is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, health outcome or decision made based on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
